A Série: Mike Biggs é um policial obeso que busca a ajuda do grupo Overeaters Anonymous, uma espécie de Vigilantes do Peso, que oferece um programa em 12 etapas para controlar compulsão por comida. Lá, ele conhece Molly Flynn, uma professora primária. Os dois começam a namorar, enfrentando juntos os preconceitos em torno de suas medidas além dos problemas que geralmente surgem entre casais que estão recém se conhecendo.
